Melania Trump made quite a statement today when she rocked a jacket with the words, 'I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?' written across the back while boarding a plane to visit immigrant children being held at the border in Texas.
The 48-year-old first lady was pictured arriving at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland wearing the $39 khaki design from Zara, before boarding her plane to Texas.
She removed the offending jacket, which bore the controversial phrase in white graffiti-style writing across the entire back section, before disembarking the plane upon her arrival.
See how Americans are reacting to the outfit below...

Melania Trump wore a jacket that said "I don't really care, do you?"
And we all went crazy, i did too.
Then i started thinking, wait, do i care about the jacket or the kids?
Touché, Melania. Touché.
Anyway, fuck your jacket, @FLOTUS.

According to past patterns, we will soon learn that while the nation talked about Melania’s coat, Trump was off somewhere throwing newborns into an active volcano.— The Hoarse Whisperer (@HoarseWisperer) June 21, 2018
Hmm. Hate to say it but I’m starting to think Melania Trump, the lady who married Donald Trump knowing he was Donald Trump, might not be a great person— Patrick Monahan (@pattymo) June 21, 2018
'I really don’t care': I don't know if Melania Trump actually gives a sh*t or not about the immigrant children ripped away from their parents and imprisoned by her lunatic bigot hubby, but I do know that it is far too f*cking serious an issue for her to be gaslighting the public.— Bill Madden (@activist360) June 21, 2018

I think we can all agree that, after today’s “incident”, there’s an excellent case that can be made for revoking Melania’s Einstein Visa.#ThursdayThoughts— Steve Redmond (@sjredmond) June 21, 2018

If you don't think this is wrong, ask yourself how history would had remembered First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, if she wore this jacket as she boarded a plane to console Holocaust survivors.— Ed Krassenstein (@EdKrassen) June 21, 2018
Donald and Melania Trump. Those two deserve each other, but America does not deserve them. pic.twitter.com/ofNve22uo0— Cornelia (@PaladinCornelia) June 21, 2018
Melania Trump:
My guess is “I really don’t care, do you?” polled better than #BeBest with the base. I’m pretty sure I saw Karma hand her that jacket today.— Steve Redmond (@sjredmond) June 21, 2018
Note how Melania Trump hasn’t apologized for wearing the jacket. She really doesn’t care. She wasn’t joking.— Scott Dworkin (@funder) June 21, 2018
Melania Trump said “Good luck” to a group of detained children as she left the shelter in Texas. Then she is seen wearing a jacket saying “I really don’t care, do you?” around the time of her travel. Nothing this disgusting family is coincidental or accidental. Sinister at best.— Ricky Davila (@TheRickyDavila) June 21, 2018
As First Lady, Melania Trump has proven to be First Enabler of the president's brutal racism against children. Her jacket doesn't just signal consent, it reveals complicity. It also sends a dangerous message to racists and would-be child abusers. #KeepFamiliesTogether #resist— Dr. DaShanne Stokes (@DaShanneStokes) June 21, 2018
Oh my. Upon return to Andrews AFB from Texas, @FLOTUS Melania Trump wearing the same jacket. "I REALLY DON'T CARE DO U?" pic.twitter.com/akBbiz0Dum— Christina Wilkie (@christinawilkie) June 21, 2018
