Police arraign Dino Melaye before an Abuja court

The Nigerian Police Force today arraigned embattled Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District of Kogi State before a magistrate court in wuse zone 2 Abuja.



According to Sahara reporters, Dino who is still nursing the injuries he sustained after jumping off a police van, was brought into the court on a stretcher.

The court granted him bail but the police reportedly sorrounded the court premises with the plan to re-arrest him.



Last Saturday, Dino survived a recall exercise after members of his constituency, Kogi Wests Senatorial District, failed to come out for the veirfication of their signatures by INEC.

Earlier today, the Nigerian Police force arraigned Dino Melaye before an Abuja High court. He was arraigned for allegedly breaking the windscreen of police vehicle conveying him to Lokoja and threatening to kill himself.

After the court granted him bail, he was re-arrested by the police. Dino was whisked away by a waiting ambulance and was accompanied by over 100 armed policemen.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, were all smiles at a function they both attended in Lagos earlier today. The politicians were guests at the symposium tagged “Leadership and the future of Nigeria” to mark the 10th anniversary of the late Sen. Abraham Adesanya, which held at the Muson Centre in Lagos.



Atiku served as Vice-President under Obasanjo’s administration for two terms, before their relationship reportedly went sour after Atiku failed to support his third term bid.

Obasanjo has vowed to work against the actualization of Atiku's dream to become President.

Kanye West admits to getting liposuction, says it's because "I didn't want y'all to call me fat like y'all called Rob"

Kanye West has joined the Kardashians in getting cosmetic surgery done because he didn't want to be ridiculed by people.

The rapper stopped by TMZ TV and shared information about what led to his hospitalization back in November 2016. He revealed that he got liposuction and was addicted to opioids after getting the procedure.

He said: "Two days before I was in the hospital, I was on opioids. I was addicted to opioids.”

Giving his reason for getting liposuction, Kanye said he just didn’t want anyone calling him fat like they did with his brother-in-law Rob Kardashian.

“I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all,” he said. “I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like y’all called Rob at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married. I didn’t want y’all to call me fat so I got liposuction.”

He said they gave him opoids following the surgery and he got so addicted to it that at a point he was taking up to seven pills a day.

“They gave me opioids, right? And I started taking two of them and then driving to work on the opioids,” he said.

He added that it was caused by “fear, stress, being controlled and manipulation.”

He then adds that he’s now in a better place.

“I think I’m in a stronger place than I ever was after the breakdown, or I like to say the breakthrough,” he said.

He adds: "I’m happy it happened. I’m happy to have gone to the other side and back."
