Nollywood actress, Rukky Sanda turned 34 in August and like Will Smith who went bungee jumping above the Grand Canyon to celebrate his 50th birthday, the actress also had her share of the fun in Dubai.



Rukky Sanda flew accross Dubai and jumoed out at 30,000feet. Describing how it felt, she wrote, 'this was all i ultimately wanted for my Birthday ds year, oh! And swim with the sharks. I wanted to jump out a Plane at 30,000feet and nobody could tell me shit. I was jumping. It was all my Soul wanted and we did that at 13,000 feet, and it was d most beautiful feeling i'd ever felt I Laughed so hard all d way and looked extra crazy every sec of ds video. It was a pure bliss, So beautiful up there I was Immensely •H•A•P•P•Y• Never been afraid, just super crazy excited to catch a thrill. So Cheers 2 Me & A Happy Birthday To Me Once Again'.

Minimum wage: Labor begins nationwide strike today












The nation wide strike announced by the Nigeria Labour Congress on Tuesdy September 25th, begins today, Thursday September 27th.



The president of the labor union, Ayuba Wabba, announced the resolve for all labour unions to go on a natinwide strike after a deadlock meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, in Abuja on Wednesday. The meeting was about implementing the new minimum wage for publi servants.


''In compliance with this mandate, all workers and private sector at all levels across the country have been directed to comply. All public and private institutions, offices, banks, schools, public and private business premises, including filling station, are to remain shut till further notice,” Wabba said at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday.



The workers are demanding a new minimum wage of about N50,000 from the current national minimum wage of N18,000.

Osun rerun: Governor Aregbesola declares today public holiday









To ensure the electorates participate fulliy in the rerun election today, the Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has declared today, Thursday September 27th a public holiday.



Aregbesola announced this in statement released by his media aide, Sola Fasure.


''The State Government of Osun has declared Thursday September 27, 2018 a public holiday throughout the state. This is to enable workers to participate in the rerun governorship election taking place in seven units in Ife-North, Ife-South, Orolu and Osogbo Local Government Areas of the State.”

''He's uninformed and too inexperienced to dabble into such issues'' - APC tells Davido over his comments on Osun rerun

Texas man arrested for sealing his 14-month old baby’s eyes and mouth with super glue because she was crying













Johnnie Lee Carter, a Texas man has been arrested for reportedly gluing an infant’s mouth and eyes at a motel.



The 29-year-old Carter, allegedly choked a 14-month-old baby and punched her in the head and rib cage, before using a Crazy Glue stick to cover the child’s mouth and eyes, the Dallas News reported.



By the time Carter’s wife reported his alleged actions to police, he fled the scene. Police reportedly found a glue stick on the motel room’s desk, and also found a 2-month-old child buried in the bed under pillows and blankets, the news outlet reported, citing an affidavit.



Carter allegedly put the 2-month-old underneath bedding, before allegedly gluing the toddler, because the infant was crying, his wife said.



The Odessa Police Department now confirms that Carter was arrested September 24 in El Paso, roughly 230 miles west of Odessa. He was wanted for injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, which police said is a first-degree felony.
